To spark discussion within your network, you can start creating forum sections that will enable your members to engage with the community. To get started, place the forum feature into your network. To do so, click on Admin, go to Features, and then drag the Forum widget into the layout. This will enable the Forum section and will add a link in the Navigation bar as well.
You can create a new forum section by simply clicking on Forums and on the Create New Section link. Your members can now start threads within the section you just created. Like any standard forum, users can comment, start threads, reply to threads, or subscribe to a particular forum section or thread in order to receive notification e-mails to topics that they may find interesting.
To allow your members to easily carry on the discussion on the main page, include the Start Discussion feature. Start Discussion adds a box to the main page that allows your members to type in and start a forum thread right from the main page!
