Brian Ma, CEO

Brian graduated early from the University of Washington with a Computer Science/Electrical Engineering double degree and worked for big companies like Microsoft and Intel. Curious about startup life, he left the comforts of the large corporations and ended up at Zillow, doing Program Management with a very small, tight-knit team. That was before they had a product. After 2 years there, when Zillow’s growth and headcount had erupted, he found his calling to be back at where his heart originally was - at a startup. He left and founded Eggsprout.com in order to once again walk the path less traveled. An adventure that daily inspires, delights, and challenges him.

Hsu Han Ooi, CTO

Hsu Han is one of the four co-founders of Eggsprout. As the CTO, Hsu Han is responsible for whipping the technology into shape – from managing rails, to taming operations, to keeping the servers happy. He is also the brains behind writing the resume parser, a task that was deemed a PhD level task. Hsu Han holds a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. (and has no PhD) Previous to Eggsprout, Hsu Han worked as a software developer at Zillow.com.

Ian Ma, Developer

Ian is a software developer and co-founder at Eggsprout. He is a computer science graduate from the University of Washington with a minor in music. While in school, he has been employed by Google, Microsoft, Siemens Medical Solutions, AOL and UW. Ian has been through his fair share of quarter-life crises prancing between various career paths including violin performance, neurobiology, philosophy, law, psychiatry, and … nursing. Computer science was ironically his last choice due to unattractive stereotypes and exceptionally mediocre grades in the introduction courses. His current interest lies in machine learning especially in application to career counseling.

Austin Cargol, Developer

Austin is the first employee of Eggsprout.com, joining the team in July 2008. At Eggsprout, he helps develop the website while also playing a role in shaping the site's design and architecture. Previously, Austin worked for Zillow.com as an SDET before joining Eggsprout. He holds a degree in computer science from the University of Washington. In the future, he hopes to work for a startup in a basement that actually has heat.

Hsu Ken Ooi, Product Manager & Design

Hsu Ken is a co-founder of Eggsprout where he is responsible for the brand and user experience of the site. Prior to Eggsprout, Hsu Ken was a Senior Web Analyst at ZAAZ, an interactive agency, where he advised clients such as Converse, Nike and Sony on improving the performance and monetization of their web channel. Hsu Ken graduated from the University of Washington with a double major in Mathematics and Statistics.
